Upcoming holiday season

wes and i are super excited for this year's holiday season!! We will be going to St. George this year for thanksgiving!! The second week of December we are going to San Diego and Los Angelos too!! We will be back in town for Elaina's first Christmas. It probably won't be that exciting for her but it will be fun to have her here for it. Elaina is now three months old and is learning quickly. she smiles all the time and flails her arms and legs when she sees us both. We love having her in our lives:)

Ashley's Pregnancy

We went to the hospital for a scheduled induction on Monday August 24th 7:30 am. Ashley decided to get an epidural at 4:00pm not long after her water was broken. Everything was going smoothly, but Elaina wasn't moving. The doctor decided we were going to have a c-section at 5am the next morning. Later we found out the cord was wrapped around Elaina's body, so it as a good choice. Ashley is finally recovered but still a little tired from being a new mom. We have now had our sweet baby now. Her name is Elaina Marie Escalante. She is the perfect baby. She sleeps all night and only cries when she is hungry for the most part. She is now starting to smile more and make lots of noises. Elaina is now 11 pounds and 5 ounces and 23 inches long.

Winter 2009

Wes and Ashley have been working up a storm. Wes started full-time at school again. He works at Aspirio as an office manager. Seven days on and seven off. Ashley still works at Supercuts in Riverdale. We had a great Christmas holiday. Wes was at work, so Ashley drove to meet him there. A few days later we found out that we were going to be parents!! We are both really excited. The first month and second month was okay, but the third was miserable. Now we are 15 weeks along. In January we were invited to go to Hawaii with Ashley's parents. It was wonderful except for the getting sick part. We are now just waiting for spring to be here, so it's nice and warm.
